Europe book box

For almost two weeks already one of the Europe book boxxes is sitting next to the main entrance of my school. I have only really noticed it now because the teacher entrance is at a different corner of the building. As you can see it is a telephone booth that has been refitted to be a mini library. The idea for this project was inspired by communities like bookcrossing where users set books free “in the wild” and then announce it on some webpage so that somebody else can pick it up and leave another book in return.

The telephone boothes for this project are designed by Berlin students and are put in different spots all over the city temporarily. “Our” new booth is maintained by students and teachers and in it you can find not only German but, of course, also Greek books. I think this is a fantastic project!!!
